Star-Style #5: Catherine Oxenberg

Good evening my beloved people,

Catherine Oxenberg... what comes to your mind when you hear that name? The "1980s Dynasty Queen", as she is called by Classic Woman's Club, the Princess of Yugoslavia or the wife of the excellent actor and producer Casper Van Dien? The readers of this blog are supposed to be more than familiar with Catherine Oxenberg as Amanda Carrington the "1980s Dynasty Queen" and one of my personal biggest (fashion) idols. Back then she was as old as I am today and today on September 22nd she is celebrating her 53rd birthday. In order to her big day I dedicate this time's Fall4Me "Star Style" post to her sending my best wishes. Personally I feel very honored to share my birthday month with her.

Talking in the base of fashion Catherine Oxenberg can be admired for many things: her convertibility even though she maintains in her personal classy and timeless style, her admirably high styled hair and with what souvereignity she wears her style. She saves her youthfulness but presents herself as a self-confident adult lady. That's what I admire, that's where I somehow recognize myself in her and that's where I want to go. Especially since usually no one is dressed like this today anymore. She manages to always look noble in her suitable for everyday-life outfits. This is what I found to my liking and I have been many times confirmed in my decision by (fashion) which I thank for the support since the age 18-21 is the time of self-finding who you are and who you want to be and Catherine Oxenberg was the one to help me with it and I want to thank her with all my heart for this.

With Catherine Oxenberg it has been love at the first sight already more than ten years ago. The love became even stronger when the "Dynasty" series have been showed again in German television. She made me like items from which I never imagined back then that they would become an essential part of closet such as the Marlene Dietrich pants instead of jeans or big stud earrings instead of long ones. She showed me that it does not matter what you wear but how you wear it. So for example the Marlene pants worn with glamorous high heels and beautiful blouses to emphasize your waist with beautiful big belts.

How wonderful that you were born otherwise we would have missed you very much! Happy birthday!

Xoxo ♥ Johanna
